01
What this lesson is about
Name impact, take responsibility, make a changed-action plan, and allow trust to rebuild through consistent behavior.
02
Practice it at home
Complete an apology and repair plan: name the impact, take responsibility, state the change, and ask what would help. Do not use “sorry” to end accountability.
Prepare first. Choose a calm time, silence notifications, and agree that either spouse may pause. The goal is honest connection, not a perfect conversation.
03
Talk together
- What impact do I need to acknowledge without defending intent?
- What changed action would make my apology credible?
- What would accountability look like over the next month?
04
Carry one small habit
Repair within the same day when possible, without demanding immediate closure.

Scripture anchor for reflectionStop if this creates fear. No lesson should be used to force disclosure, sexual activity, forgiveness, reconciliation, or continued cohabitation. If either spouse feels afraid, trapped, monitored, coerced, or unable to answer freely, stop joint work and seek confidential specialized support through the safety pathway.
