Week 2

Friendship and emotional connection

Know my inner world

Practice curiosity about hopes, fears, stress, transitions, and the inner experiences that are easy to miss in a busy household.

01

What this lesson is about

Practice curiosity about hopes, fears, stress, transitions, and the inner experiences that are easy to miss in a busy household.

02

Practice it at home

Take turns answering 20 guided questions. The listener asks curious follow-up questions but does not correct, solve, or turn the answer into a debate.

Prepare first. Choose a calm time, silence notifications, and agree that either spouse may pause. The goal is honest connection, not a perfect conversation.

03

Talk together

  • What part of my inner world do I most want you to understand?
  • What helps me feel safe enough to answer honestly?
  • What is one question we could keep asking each other this season?

04

Carry one small habit

Ask one open question daily: “What is taking up space in your heart today?”

1 Peter 3:8 · Philippians 2:4

Scripture anchor for reflection
Stop if this creates fear. No lesson should be used to force disclosure, sexual activity, forgiveness, reconciliation, or continued cohabitation. If either spouse feels afraid, trapped, monitored, coerced, or unable to answer freely, stop joint work and seek confidential specialized support through the safety pathway.
